Based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, Alutech Systems Ltd is part of a substantial group. The Alutech Group overall offers a broad range of aluminium systems with substantial extrusion and manufacturing capacity. As well as being one of the biggest extruders of aluminium, the business also operates a sophisticated powder coating and anodising facilities. Furthermore, customers benefit from extensive distribution, automated lines and short lead times. design, extrude and deliver architectural aluminium systems.
In the UK, the facility of Alutech provides the stockholding for their aluminium profiles, administration and customer training for products and installation. The range of products remains European inspired, but now offers other products more suited to the UK market. These include fenestration, facade glazing and general aluminium extrusions.

The portfolio of Alutech Systems products comprises more than thirty different product groups for residential and commercial doors, windows and associated products.
Aluminium Windows
Comprising the W72 suite of windows, these are insulated aluminium profiles, with a quality powder coated finish. They come in all the usual casement window configurations as well as opening inwards, outwards, fixed and combination windows.
Being a European system, W72 opening inwards caters to larger sizes than many other systems. For instance side hung vents have a maximum width of 1600mm wide and 2500mm high which are larger than most door sizes. It’s the same for their casement and tilt and turn W72 windows, also capable of these large sizes.
For outward opening windows, there’s the same 72mm frame depth, large window heights up to 1900mm high and a comprehensive range of ancillary profiles. As a result, Alutech windows offer more scope than the other window systems and types in the UK.
Alutech Systems hinged doors
Also part of the W72 collection are a range of aluminium balcony doors, hinged and rebated doors suitable for both dwellings and heavy duty commercial applications. The company doesn’t however offer the usual anti-finger trap or centre hung commercial doors of other systems.
With a similar frame depth of 72mm, Alutech doors come as single or double doors, open in or out, and with matching side and top panels. Again, large sizes are a feature of these doors with single doors going up to 1600m wide and 2500mm wide, easily beating many other systems on the market.
Matching the bifolding doors product are the BF73 French doors providing hinged doors in the same folding sliding door aluminium profiles. The result is matching doors throughout the installation and this door product is available by all other bifolding door systems as well.
Sliding and bifolding doors by Alutech explained
The sliding and bifolding doors range by Alutech Systems offers excellent patio doors solutions, whilst having the appealing European styling.
For sliding doors, they’re not the slimmest patio doors on the market, but look distinctive with contemporary styling and attractive door handles. There are lift and slide doors, inline sliding doors and tilt and slide solutions. Even better are a range of heavier duty doors designed for high traffic installations and commercial buildings.
The Alutech bifolding door is connected to the Cortizo system available in many other bifolding door brands such as the Dutemann FD120, Debar brand and others. It’s designed to replicate the features of the highly successful Schuco bifolding door product. It comes with similar size capability, 120mm sightlines, the adjustable frame jamb and similar styling.
Curtain walling systems
For facade glazing and curtain walling in aluminium, Alutech Systems provides multiple solutions. You’ll find capped or flush systems and brise soleil. Like other well-designed curtain walling systems, there’s a choice of capping size and aesthetic. At the same time the curtain walling products integrate fully with doors, windows, panels and all manner of glass options.
These facade systems provide solutions for both high rise glazing as well as low to medium-rise applications.
Other Alutech systems products for the come and commercial building
Also in the range of Alutech Systems for fabricators and the trade market are a range of complementary products.
These start with the BF73 cill profiles. Whilst these work with the entire Alutech range, they’re also suitable as cills for other systems. The cill sizes suit many installation requirements starting at a 90mm overall depth, 150mm, 190mm and 230mm.
Then there are the Levigato garage door openers designed to work with the overhead garage doors. Also in the garage range are sectional doors. As well as sectional and overhead are roller shutter versions for garages.

The kit service by Alutech allows installers and fabricators to benefit from simple assembly of windows and doors, without extensive machinery or tooling.
All kit products come cut to size with hardware and accessories, requiring only factory assembly. Above all, the benefit is letting door and window installers assemble products as they start fabricating aluminium on a simplified and cheaper basis.
