Schüco ASE 67 PD – Introduction

schüco ase 67 pd sliding door concept in a contemporary lounge

The Schüco ASE 67 PD is similar to the other Panorama design doors in that it is designed so that its frame hides in the structure, and providing a slim frame and near-minimal appearance. This model differs from others, such as the Schüco AS PD 75.HI Panoramic Sliding Door in that the frame only hides in the structure partially. The result is a very slim sliding door whilst providing a more picture-frame look fully fitted, with a small amount of visible frame all around. Visually appealing, expertly designed and engineered and providing excellent specifications and product quality, the Schüco ASE 67 PD sliding door is designed as a premium solution for architecturally demanding projects at more standard sizes whilst still providing a slim middle mullion and fully flush sliding door track.

Available in two three or four-panel designs for new build projects only, the styling of the Schüco ASE 67 PD door offers a choice of a standard 90mm deep high frame or a slimmer 57mm design.

Schüco ASE 67 PD – Features and Benefits

The standout benefit of the ASE 67 PD model is unlike many other minimalist sliding doors intended for new openings only, this model is designed for both renovation and new build projects.

The most flexible minimalist Schuco door

The 90mm frame is for new build openings and features a design whereby the sliding panel profiles are hidden in the truck and frame, giving more of an all-glass appearance. Choose the 57mm frame, and you can use the Schüco ASE 67 PD in renovation projects where the sliding panel profiles are visible but still ultra-thin with just a 31mm face width. Door sizes go as small as 1000mm wide up to 3000mm wide and start at 2000mm high up to 3000mm high. The benefit is a contemporary sliding door from the premium Schüco brand designed to work in both standard-size openings for replacement sliding door projects and new builds.

Consistent sightline all round

Use the Schüco ASE 67 PD with the 57mm frame and the 31mm face sightline, and you also benefit from a 31mm middle mullion. The benefit is a sliding door with exactly the same face sightlines, symmetry and balance across the entire door set, whereas other sliding door brands can look thicker on the surrounding frame. The 90mm frame provides a near-frameless appearance with just a 31mm mullion visible.  With both versions, a further benefit is larger glass sizes, less aluminium profile bulk, and more light coming into the room.

Centrally-located locking system

The ingenious design of the ASE 67 allows three possible locking options. The most innovative is, firstly the central locking system in the door mullion. The central locking benefit is being able to secure the door in an open or partially open position with a slimmer door at the frame side. Or there is the traditional option of additional security in addition to the central locking with a lock at the frame side as well.

Excellent Thermal Performance and U-Values

U-Values of 1.0Wm2K with a high-specification glass unit mean the Schüco ASE 67 PD sliding door meets and exceeds current Building Regulations for new build homes and with triple glazing up to 49mm thick.

Up to RC2 Security

RC2 security is an increased protection standard for dwellings where the door is subjected to timed attack tests using basic burglary tools. The benefit is a secure door set when combined with laminated safety glass.
